In an age where digital connection often deepens disconnection from our true nature, The Atma Institute emerges as a revolutionary online ashram: a sacred space where ancient wisdom meets modern accessibility. Founded by Yoga teacher Rashmi Sinha and Advaita teacher Pandit Vishuddha Nath, this digital sanctuary offers seekers worldwide a joyful path to the most profound question in humanity: "Who am I?"

At its heart, The Atma Institute is dedicated to Atma Vichar (Self-enquiry): the timeless practice of investigating the true Self that exists beyond the ego's endless projections and identifications. The ego creates countless narratives about who we are: our roles, our achievements, our failures, our stories. But these are merely imaginations, veils obscuring the luminous awareness that is our essential nature.

Pandit Vishuddha Nath brings to this endeavor the depth of his immersion in ashram life in the Himalayas with his Guru Swami Shyam, combined with academic training in Sanskrit and Indian philosophy. His translation work on the Bhagavad Gita and mastery of Advaita Vedanta provide the philosophical backbone for the Institute's teachings.

Rashmi Sinha complements this foundation with her expertise in yoga practice and meditation, creating an accessible bridge between ancient techniques and contemporary life.

Our Mission

The Institute's online format dissolves geographical barriers, allowing seekers from all over the world to participate in the transformative process of Self-discovery. Through guided meditations, Satsangs, philosophical teachings, and direct inquiry practices, students learn to discriminate between the false self, the ego's constellation of thoughts, emotions, and identities, and the Atma, the true Self: the unchanging, blissful awareness that witnesses all experience. This is not mere intellectual philosophy.

The Atma Institute guides practitioners toward direct experiential recognition of their immortal nature, the same realization that the Upanishads, the Buddha, and countless sages have pointed toward across millennia.

In the digital ashram, the ancient call to "Know Thyself" finds its modern expression. The Atma Institute also organizes offline retreats and workshops in various locations, such as Goa and the Himalayas.
